About

Welcome to my personal website.

I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and Research Fellow at the Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration (CReAM) at University College London.
I am further affiliated (Research Affiliate) to the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) and the Centro Studi Luca d'Agliano in Milan.

I am an applied economist with interest in Labour Economics, Migration, Development Economics and Political Economy.
My current work addresses questions in two main topic areas:
the first is how households in developing countries take decisions about labour allocation and migration, as well as the effect of migration on sending households and receiving areas; the second is the political economy of mass media and the role of media in shaping individuals' beliefs, perceptions and political outcomes.
