Quick Facts: Maria is a proud mother of a 5 year old and an aspiring teacher. She graduated as the salutatorian of her high school class and earned the Ronald Mcdonald Foundation Scholarship for her first year of college. She recently was accepted and completed a political science summer research program at Duke University called the Ralphe Bunche summer institute (RBSI). She is planning to pursue a doctoral degree in political psychology.

2. Melanie Garcia
School: CUNY Lehman College '11

Major: Nursing

Quick Facts: Has found freedom and tranquility with her car. As a very well prepared and organized person she has secured the role of Secretary of Beta Chapter for the upcoming academic year. In her spare time Melanie states that she LOVES to read!
