My name is Brooke Lovekamp, I am a senior Social Work major at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois. I am working towards my Bachelors in Social Work degree with a Minor in Psychology and will graduate in May of 2015. While at MacMurray College, I have maintained part-time employment at the Crisis Center Foundation in Jacksonville, Illinois. The Crisis Center Foundation is a non-profit organization designed to provide domestic violence prevention, education, and emergency services to the Morgan, Cass, Scott, and Greene County communities. I have also been the recipient of numerous awards while studying at MacMurray College. I received the John Austin Van Hook Award for Outstanding Leadership in the spring of 2014, have made the Dean's list every semester since 2012, became a member of the Phi Alpha Omega National Social Work Honor Society in the spring of 2014, and was inducted into Mortar Board National Honor Society in the spring of 2014. I was also Secretary of the MacMurray College Social Work Club from 2012 through 2014 and was elected President of Mortar Board National Honor Society. My future plans include obtaining my Masters in Social Work degree and my passion lies in working with children. During my time at MacMurray College, I had the opportunity to complete my internship at St. John's Children's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.
