Welcome to the home page of the Lourdes Brass Band.


The Lourdes Brass Band has been a fixture in the town of Drogheda for 58 years with its establishment in 1959, by the late Jack Reilly and Fr. Kevin Connolly. Originally formed as part of the boys club the band was based in Yellowbatter. From the beginning the band has since had many homes, including Scarlet Street, Carolan’s Lane and Donaghy’s Mill. It was in the late 1970's that Jack Reilly secured a permanent home for the band in Bachelors Lane

 The Lourdes Brass Band has always prided its self on been a band for the town of Drogheda and can be seen many times throughout the year entertaining the people of the town and surrounding areas, from the St Patrick's Day parade, performing in the local shopping centers and festivals to Christmas carols in the town center and their annual Christmas concert.

 Throughout the history of the Lourdes Brass Band they have had some amazing and supportive musical directors, conducting the band to great heights including Mr Jack Reilly, Mr Christy Smith, Mr Harry Kelly, Mr James Mc Cafferty and Mr Michael Hannan and the bands recent musical director Professor Michael Alcorn . These men have helped build and develop the Lourdes Brass Band into the successful organisation it is today
