The History of The Society

In 1947, a noted Industrialist, Capt. Emerson Huston displayed stamps at the Loughborough Library. The interest created gave rise to a group of founder members forming the Society. Meetings were held at the Library until 1954 when the Society moved to the St Johns Ambulance Rooms in Packe Street. In 1981 the 'HQ' became Quest House in Epinal Way. Then through various moves we arrived at our present location in 2014. All meetings take place on the second and fourth Thursday of the month at Rosebery Medical Centre at 19.15 - 21.30 hours.
We have a very active membership that covers all aspects of Philately. Whatever your interest, no matter how remotely connected to Philately, you will be sure of a warm welcome. Membership is open to everyone and visitors, young and more senior are most welcome. For further information, please contact the Hon. Secretary.
