Loudon County Citizen Observer Patrol

Tim W. Guider, Loudon County Sheriff

Background: The Loudon County Sheriff’s C.O.P. Program was formed by Loudon County Sheriff T.W. Guider in 2008 as a pro-active deterrent to neighborhood crime and vandalism.   It is an ancillary service of the Sheriff’s Office where trained volunteers patrol in Tellico Village and other neighborhoods of Loudon County, as designated by the Sheriff, observing and reporting any problems or suspicious activity.

In addition, House Checks may be made in a limited number of neighborhoods when requested by those citizens who are away from their houses for extended periods of time.  These requests are kept confidential.   Further, the C.O.P. volunteers may be called upon to direct traffic at an accident scene, fire, parade, or to handle crowd control and/or assist Loudon County Sheriff’s Office in other ways as requested.

ARE YOU WILLING TO HELP KEEP OUR NEIGHBORHOODS SAFE BY PATROLLING
