Community Drum and Dance

A traditional West African Dance session with drumming.
All ages are welcome classes are taught in a blended fashion
Dance class is taught by the Akoma N'Toaso dancers.

Saturdays: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM


 Akoma N'Toaso and Umoja Practice

Intermediate to advanced West African Drumming and Dancing. Membership and attendance to practice is currently limited to people who have studied with Khalid Saleem's in Percussion Ah Saleem or Sankofa. Dancers must be invited to participate by dancer's selection. If you are interested in dancing please talk to Akoma N'Toaso dancers.

Lotus Drums

Community Drum class open for children with developmental disabilities. The focus of the class is to encourage children to participate with peers and have fun. This class focuses on the social integration of children with a wide range of developmental disabilities.

Every Wednesday in August 2011 6:30 to7:15 PM

Facilitated Drum Circles

Drum Circles are a wonderful team building exercise. The facilitators of Lotus Expressions are available for hire for any occasion. Our drum circles are founded in West African traditional rhythms as opposed to a free form drum circle style. The faculty of Lotus Expressions will help you build a drum circle event that is a guaranteed success.
