  How We Met

We met at my first job (at a pizza place) in 1995 when I was 15 years old and he was 17.  He was just a guy I worked with.  Then  he graduated high school and left the pizza place.  Some time later I ended up switching to another store and he was working there!  We were both dating other people at the time.  Well in 1998 we both got dumped pretty much around the same time and then just started hanging out with each other.  We were both still trying to "work things out" with our ex's.  Needless to say that didn't really work out for either one of us and we started dating in October of 1998.

 The Engagement - February 14, 2004

We weren't really big on Valentine's Day, but in passing conversation a few weeks prior to V-Day I mentioned that it had been a long time since I had gotten one of those heart-shaped boxes with the chocolates in them...I know...cheesy, but I love them.  So anyway, fast forward to V-Day.  He had to work that day so I made him dinner...his favorite, lasagna.  So we finish dinner and he goes upstairs to get my gift.  It ended up being the heart-shaped box with chocolates in it.  I was excited so I popped it open and there sitting where a chocolate would be was my ring...awwwwwwwwwww.

 The Wedding - October 21, 2005

We were married at 4:00 p.m. in a Lutheran Church and our reception began at 6:45 p.m.  All our friends and family were with us and it was just a fantastic day!  See our wedding pics here.

The Honeymoon

Originally we were supposed to go to the El Dorado Seaside Suites in the Mayan Riviera.  Well a day before the wedding, I recieved a phone call that our resort was being evacuated due to hurricane Wilma.  Luckily we bought the trip insurance and got all of our money back.  We needed to get away though, so we just took some time and went to the family cottage up north.  We then scheduled our honeymoon for the following March (2006).  I was going to school at the time, so it had to be scheduled over spring break.  We ended up going to Couples Swept Away in Negril, Jamaica.  What sucked though was that (in Mexico) we would have been in the nicest room for 10 days.  Well since we had to schedule the 2nd honeymoon attempt so close to the date of the trip, we could only afford to stay in the most inexpensive room and for only 6 days.  It was awesome, but a few more days would have been even better!!  You can see pics on the random pics page.
