Lorenzo Prosperi

Welcome to my webpage

I am a Senior Specialist at Prometeia, working in the research area of financial markets and financial intermediaries. I received my PhD from Toulouse School of Economics in 2019.

My research interests span a variety of topics. During my PhD, I focused my interest on sovereign debt: the role of political frictions in shaping government borrowing incentives across countries and the effect of banking regulation of sovereign exposure on banking and finance.

In Prometeia I work on several projects related to forecasting macro-financial variables (market data, lending and saving), analysis on the impact of monetary policy on financial markets and the transmission to the credit market. Moreover, I support other teams in the analysis of the banking sector and households' saving. Since always, new methodologies and technologies have attracted my attention. In my work, I always explore new frontiers to extract value from the analysis that I am involved in.
