Loren Moss

Mr. Loren Moss is an influential (>60+ Klout Score) analyst, editor, and business leader with executive experience in both global enterprises and entrepreneurial startups.

After holding outsourcing management and executive positions in the US offices of British, Sri-Lankan, and Indian outsourcing firms, Loren Moss was hired by a Connecticut based research firm as an analyst covering and advising firms and governments on business process outsourcing in the Caribbean & Latin America. During his tenure, Moss couldn’t help but notice the improvements and progress that places like Colombia or Trinidad & Tobago have achieved over the last decade, resulting in renewed international interest and investment.

Surprised to see that there was no English language media covering Colombia’s economic and financial news for global markets, Moss resigned from his employer to establish, develop and launch Finance Colombia to serve as a reliable, credible information organ to the growing community of multinational executives and global investors paying close attention to this South American nation.  Finance Colombia is the only English language business publication focused on Colombia’s thriving business sector and economy: one of the most favorable FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) destinations in the Western Hemisphere. Later, Moss launched Finance TnT, which focuses on back office best practices and news, Finance & Accounting Outsourcing (FAO) and electronic payments.

More recently, observing the growth of RPA (Robotics Process Automation), Analytics, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence in the enterprise, along with the rise of innovation driven corporations and disruptive business models, Moss and his staff launched Cognitive Business, which seeks to report at the vanguard of how these technologies are being applied in the business environment. The publications is written for the business executive grappling with today’s “disrupt or be disrupted environment” and focuses on use cases and business applications rather than for the technical practitioner or software engineer.

In addition to publishing the three digital magazines, Moss’ firm Unido Digital, with a staff of 40 full time professionals, also provides business intelligence and advisory services to corporate and government clients.

Before discovering the outsourcing and professional services arena, Moss worked in finance for a decade, earning real estate, stockbrokers, and insurance licenses. He advised international clients on investments and negotiated transactions both in the US and internationally. This decade of experience in the financial markets gave Moss the experience and insight that would be crucial for covering Caribbean and Latin American capital markets and economy later in his career.

In addition to his professional work, Moss has always seen the importance of being engaged in his neighborhood (in his case, The Americas). While still a university student he worked for a program to help resettle “Mariél” Cuban refugees. Later, he served as a volunteer translator at the 1994 United Nations World Summit on Trade Efficiency, and he was an electoral observer for the 2000 Mexican Presidential Elections, the 2001 Nicaraguan Presidential Elections, and the 2004 Dominican Republic Presidential Elections. 2 years ago, he hosted a delegation of international electoral observers in Bucaramanga, Colombia during the Santander Gubernatorial elections.

  • Business Process Outsourcing (BPO)
  • Customer Experience & Customer Contact
  • Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI)
  • The Americas (North America, South America, The Caribbean)
