About Me:

Having lived the first quarter of a century in a beautiful seaport city on the east coast of China, known for Confucius culture, I am presently a Ph.D. candidate in Economics in the city of Boston (the Beantown), and an instructor of Economics in Christopher Newport University.

Most of my research is in financial econometric modeling and forecasting, portfolio management and business cycle synchronization. I have published in Journal of Applied Business and Economics and have presented some of my work in Economic and Finance conference meetings including Eastern Economic Association, Southern Economic Association, Midwest Economic Association, International Research Conference on Business and Economics and Academy of Financial Service Annual Meeting.

Prior to joining Christopher Newport University, where I helped develop and now teach an upper-level Mathematics for Economist course and principles-level micro and macro courses, I taught Applied Statistics and Economics at Suffolk University in Boston.

Outside the teaching and research, I like reading, hiking, jogging, golfing, traveling and watching Star Wars (yes, a personal hobby)...
