Longmont Hebrew School is an unaffiliated community school that was started in 1993 by  several families who wanted to provide their children with a Jewish education as well as an opportunity to connect with other Jewish children in Longmont.
Longmont Hebrew School teaches children about their Jewish heritage and prepares them for Bar/Bat Mitzvot.  Judaic studies, Hebrew language, Torah, and current events are taught.  A B'nai Mitzvot  class is offered for children who are preparing for their Bar/Bat Mitzvot.  Students have been able to personalize their Bar/Bat Mitzvot experience.   In addition, the children and teachers create and put on a Hanukkah program for the Longmont Shabbat Group each year.  Families also participate in a mitzvah project at the location where classes are held.
Students' ages range from 5 to 13 and they are grouped in classes according to age.  Classes are held weekly, after school, during the school year.  Jewish and interfaith families are welcome.
