DUE TO WEATHER, THIS RIDE WAS CANCELED
Natchitoches Jazz Festival Ride
April 4-6, 2014
Natchitoches, Louisiana
OK folks....we have another ride for y'all. A ride to Natchitoches, LA and Natchez, MS! We did this last year and unfortunately mother nature decided to keep us away from Natchez. This time we will make the ride to Fat Mama's Tamales!
The Natchitoches Jazz/R&B Festival (http://www.natchjazzfest.com/) will be in full swing while we are there, also. This year's headliner is The Marshall Tucker Band. A Friday night trip to The Crawfish Hole for mudbugs and other seafood choices. I am ready to ride!
Friday
Ride to Natchitoches
We will be leaving at 8:30 AM from Forney. Get there early for breakfast.

The Quality Inn is under new management since last year and they have made a number of upgrades. I spoke with the new owner and he was very interested in our business and seemed dedicated to improving the facility.
We reserved a block of rooms for "Lone Star Riders" at a rate of $62/night. Make your reservations soon before these rooms are gone!
Group Friday Night Dinner will be at the Crawfish Hole.
119 South Dr
Natchitoches, LA

Saturday
Leave at 8:00 AM to Fat Mama's Tamales in Natchez, MS (I have summoned the weather gods to make sure we have a great day for the ride to Natchez!). Those who would prefer to ride their own route, visit plantations, etc., are welcome to do their own thing.

Natchez, MS

After lunch we will be taking a quick loop through historic Natchez before heading on a different route back to Natchitoches.
Everyone is free to make their own dinner arrangements on Saturday night. Plenty of places downtown and the Jazz Festival will be going strong. In old historic downtown you have The Landing, Mama's, and Papa's. I like them all.
Sunday
Group ride home will depart at 8 AM.
We will stop for lunch at
413 S Greer Blvd
Pittsburg, TX

We will have a nice ride back from Pittsburg and should be home mid-afternoon.
Now let's all get our reservations!
