Fundraising

Why LVPSG needs your support

The London Vulval Pain Support Group is a self-funded patient support group, run and facilitated by volunteers who have vulval pain themselves. A major and increasing overhead which we must meet annually is the fee for hiring a hall for the regular meetings which are vital to the group's continued existence. We must also cover the costs of printing and physically distributing our Vulval Pain leaflets, including the cost of our annual/biannual mailshots to around 55 Genitourinary Medicine (GUM) clinics. Whilst the £3 contribution we ask from women attending group meetings partly covers these costs, to make up the rest we rely on individual donations and fundraising initiatives, plus the group fundraising activities mentioned below.

How you can support LVPSG

Individual donations

Monetary donations by individuals or groups are always gratefully received. If you would like to make a donation to the London Vulval Pain Support Group, please email us at londonvps@yahoo.co.uk for payment details.

Recycling inkjet printer cartridges

You can raise funds for LVPSG by recycling your empty inkjet printer cartridges. All you need to do is email us and we will send you a PDF of LVPSG's Freepost barcode label which you can then print out and stick on to an old envelope/Jiffy bag. When you're ready to recycle your cartridges, just put them into the envelope, seal it up and and put it in the post. This will send the cartridges Freepost to the recycling company.

Should you prefer, you can also access the barcode label yourself by registering directly online with our recycling company at www.therecyclingfactory.com.

Recycling laser toners

Please email us, stating brand, model (if known) and quantity of your laser toners, and we'll see if they can be recycled.

Easyfundraising

Raise funds for LVPSG while you shop online! Just visit the Easyfundraising website at www.easyfundraising.org.uk and register as a supporter, choosing the London Vulval Pain Support Group as your cause from the Find a Cause menu. Then, whenever you're next online and eyeing up a purchase, visit Easyfundraising, log into your account and check the Retailers list to see if your retailer is included. If the retailer is listed (and most of the high street names are), just follow the link from the Easyfundraising website to your retailer's website (this is important) and make your purchase. The retailer will then donate a percentage of the price of your purchase to LVPSG. Puzzled? Queries? Technical problems? Email us at londonvps@yahoo.co.uk and we'll do our best to help.

Easysearch

Use Easysearch instead of Google or other search engines and you can raise around 0.5p for LVPSG each time you search. Don't forget to save LVPSG's Easysearch page as a favourite or bookmark so that you can easily find it when you need to search for something online. If you're unsure how to do this, 'Fundraising Tips' at the bottom of the Easysearch page may be of help.
