Die Fledermaus Audition Announcement
 
 

All roles are to be cast. 

Rehearsals: Begin Monday June 8th 

Sitz: 2 sessions Sunday June 14th

Perf: Tuesday June 16th


London Lyric Opera plan to produce a concert performance of Johann Strauss's II comic operetta, Die Fledermaus on June 16th 2009 at Cadogan Hall, London. Sung in English with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Philharmonia Chorus conducted by Madeleine Lovell. In October we plan to produce Weber's Der Freischütz in concert. Once again with the RPO and Philharmonia Chorus at Cadogan Hall conducted by LLO's Principal Conductor, Lionel Friend, with the rarely performed Berlioz recitatives sung in the original German.

The audition will primarily be focused on Fledermaus. Any singers who wish to be considered for Der Freischütz should make this clear in their reply. Auditions will be held for this opera at a date to be confirmed later.

 

Audition Date: Tuesday March 10th

 

Time: Morning/ Afternoon
