  Overview

This is a beautiful 2 bedroom/2 bath redecorated condominium at the Homestead Resort in Glen Arbor, Leelanau County, Michigan with fantastic views of Lake Michigan, adjoining Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The condo is on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, just a 5-minute walk down to the beach. Note that there are about 50 steps up boardwalks and outside stairs to reach the condo from the parking lot. 

The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore has been voted the "most beautiful place in America" by viewers of ABC Television's Good Morning America show.

Details

The condo sleeps six people and includes a fully-equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, two wood-burning fireplaces, HDTVs, Blu Ray player, high-speed WiFi, and linens.  

One bedroom overlooks Lake Michigan and has a wall door opening onto a "french balcony" style deck. This bedroom has a fireplace, wet bar, queen-size bed, HDTV, ceiling fan, dressing area, and bathroom.

The second bedroom has a king-size bed, a wall door opening onto a deck that overlooks a forested area, HDTV, ceiling fan, dressing area, and bathroom. There are a full-size front-loading washer and dryer in the bathroom.

The living room overlooks Lake Michigan and has a wall door opening onto a deck where there are a table and chairs during seasonal weather. In addition, there is a sectional sofa, part of which opens into a full-size sofa bed. There is a wood-burning fireplace, HDTV with Blu Ray/DVDplayer, and a CD player.

The adjoining dining area has a table with six chairs and two bar stools at the counter separating the dining area from the kitchen. The kitchen has a full-size refrigerator with ice-maker, a dishwasher, disposer, toaster, microwave, full-size range with oven, and a full set of dishes and cookware.

Smoking is not permitted in the condominium and pets are not allowed (sorry).

The condominium is not air conditioned, but there is generally good cross ventilation in addition to room and ceiling fans. 

Rentals do not include access to the resort swimming pools.

Things To Do in the Area

Year round there is nearby shopping, informal and fine dining, wineries, and galleries. Seasonal activities include hiking, canoeing/kayaking, golf, cross-country and downhill skiing, snow-shoeing, swimming, minature golf, walking/biking on the extensive Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail, and walking on the beautiful, uncrowded beaches. Throughout the year there are fantastic sunsets from the condo deck. 

Off-season Use

For off-season use, there is individually controlled heat in each room. the boardwalks and stairs from the parking area are cleared of snow by a full-time maintenance service, and fire wood is provided.
