Loggerhead Sea Turtle
(Caretta caretta)

Above is a picture of a Loggerhead Sea Turtle swimming in the ocean. The turtles use their flipper-like legs to swim through the water smoothly and fast.

My name is Jamie and I'm a 7th grade student in Southern California.  In my life science class, I had to do an endangered species project.  I decided to do my research on the Loggerhead Sea Turtle.  I chose this species because I was very interested in how such an animal that seemed so defenseless could survive the harsh living conditions of the ocean.  This website will detail the Loggerhead Sea Turtle as a species and discuss why it became endangered and what we are doing to save it.
