Mission and Vision of the Counseling Program

 The mission of the Lilburn Middle School Guidance and Counseling Department is to empower a community of diverse learners to overcome barriers to student achievement by providing developmentally appropriate academic, career, and personal/social services. 

The Guidance and Counseling Program's vision is to become a model program of excellence in the successful delivery of a comprehensive school guidance and counseling services to a diverse community of learners.

Lilburn Middle School Counselors provide a variety of counseling services and school-wide programs to create a successful middle school experience for our students.
  • Individual Counseling: We are here to address student issues, concerns or problems and to help identify solutions. Students have the option to either complete a counselor note to see us or simply tell their teacher they would like to speak with us. Please feel free to contact us at any point if feel your child is experiencing issues which impact their ability to be successful in school.
  • Small Group Counseling: Peer relations are very important to middle school students and we want to provide your child with positive peer support to cope with their life challenges. We offer our groups on an as-needed basis on the following topics: social skills, anger management, student success, and attendance support.
  •  Classroom Guidance:  Study Skills, Personal/Social Development, and Career Exploration
  • Behavioral Support Services (on an as needed basis)
School-Wide Programs:  Advisement, Mentoring, Career Day, Attendance Recognition, Mustang of the Month, etc.
