What is La Leche League?
La Leche League is an international, non profit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.
Who are meetings for? Can I bring my baby?
La Leche League is mother-to-mother. All breastfeeding mothers and pregnant moms interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.
Note: If your child is ill, please put your own family first and stay home until all is well.
If you are a father, please inquire about the availability of couple's meetings.
Is there a charge for the meeting?
LLL meetings are always FREE!
You are welcome to become a member at any time. Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine, use of our lending library, and a member discount for our annual Area Conference as well as discounts when you shop online at LLLI.ORG.
Serving the areas of Montebello, Pico Rivera, Monterey Park, East LA, Commerce, Lynwood, Compton, Downey, Bell, El Monte, and West Whittier
LLL of Montebello is not currently meeting. In the meantime, please consider visiting the next closest meeting, which would be LLL of Whittier or LLL of Arcadia.
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
