Our chapter was awarded the Best New Innovative Project award from the University for our Girl Scout Event during the 2013/2014 school year. We are so proud of our new event, and not only plan to continue the event, but to improve upon it and teach other chapters how to set up the event.
We participate in many Service activities, such as Project Hope, Ronald McDonald House, Adopt-A-Family, Hygeia Day, our Annual Girl Scout Event, Relay for Life, and The Big Event.
Additionally, we provide opportunities for our new members to prepare for the interview and essay process required for admission to the PharmD and BSPS programs. We hold mock essays and interviews, and give them advice about what professionalism means to us.
Along with our professional events, we also have many social events to become stronger as sisters and to bond with our brother fraternity, Kappa Psi. We have a sleepover retreat to get to know our new members, we have a Founder's Day celebration mid semester, we host the Formal Pharmacy Dinner Dance along with Kappa Psi and APhA-ASP, and many other events.
Our Core Values are sisterhood, integrity, leadership, scholarship, outreach, and philanthropy. We work every day to be living examples of these values and to become strong leaders in our pharmacies and communities.
