Professional and Community Events:
  • Project H.O.P.E.
    • HOPE – Health Opportunities for People Everywhere
    • The National Philanthropy of Lambda Kappa Sigma
    • Project HOPE has been providing relief to the victims of Hurricane Katrina and the earthquake in Haiti, and also runs programs in underprivileged areas around the world
    • In the spring we hold an event to raise money for Project HOPE
  • Ronald McDonald House
    • As a service project, the new members carve and decorate pumpkins that are later taken to the Ronald McDonald House for Halloween
  • Hygeia Day
    • The purpose is to publicly call attention to the dedication of the members to the profession of pharmacy and to the advancement of knowledge in the health sciences
    • We try to pick a health related topic and hold a program where we invite a guest to speak on that topic
  • Adopt-A-Family
    • In November and December, we do different things such as holding bake sales and passing a can around during classes to raise money for a family we adopted
  • Girls Scout Event
    • In the spring of 2013 we helped more than 50 local girls scouts to earn their First Aid badge. This event has encouraged other chapters to do the same service project.

  • Formal Dinner Dance w/ Kappa Psi
    • Each year in the Fall, we organize the Formal Dance with Kappa Psi and APhA-ASP
    • A member of the College of Pharmacy faculty is chosen to be a guest speaker
    • It’s a great way for us to interact with the faculty in an environment outside of school
