Jackie Robinson Comic Book Front Cover

For many years African Americans were denied participation in many arenas.  Playing professional sports was one of these areas.  They learned to persevere and let their “bats” be heard.  As they struggled to be recognized as a people, with talent, they were met with great controversy and felt denied the right to be a part of a country which prides itself in liberty and justice for all.  Nonetheless, their struggles paid off and helped them advance in the major leagues and dissolve color lines in more areas than baseball.  This project is for high school students.
