I am a post-doctoral researcher at the Parenting and Special Education Unit, KU Leuven, Belgium, working with Prof. dr. Ilse Noens. My current research focuses on behaviour and cognitive processing in individuals with ASD and behavioural difficulties, including features of extreme/'pathological' demand avoidance.

Before this, I completed a PhD (2010 - 2014) at the Social, Genetic & Developmental Psychiatry Centre, part of the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King's College London. My PhD supervisors were Prof. Francesca Happe and Prof. Essi Viding. My PhD research focused on behaviour and neuro-cognitive processing in children with autism spectrum disorder, children with conduct problems and high callous-unemotional traits, and children with extreme/'pathological' demand avoidance.

After my PhD (2013-2016) I worked as a post-doctoral researcher at UCL, in the Developmental Risk and Resilience Unit, with Prof. Essi Viding. I worked on a study examining the neuro-cognitive basis of emotion processing childhood conduct problems. In parallel, I collaborated with Dr Judith Gould and the National Autistic Society Lorna Wing Centre on research into extreme/'pathological' demand avoidance.
