Biography
I am currently a research scientist with the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, Abu Dhabi, UAE, working with Prof. Fahad Khan and Prof. Hisham Cholakkal at the MBZUAI Intelligent Visual Analytics Lab. Before that, I was a senior research associate with the Inception Institute of Artificial Intelligence. I received my Ph.D. degree from the School of Automation, Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) in 2020, majoring in Pattern Recognition & Intelligent Systems, supervised by Prof. Junwei Han. Before that, I was a master's student supervised by Prof. Han from Sept. 2012 to Jul. 2014. I received a B.S. degree from Honors College at NPU in 2012.
From Dec. 2016 to Dec. 2017, I was a visiting Ph.D. student in the Vision and Learning Lab, at Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the University of California at Merced, under the supervision of Prof. Ming-Hsuan Yang. What a precious experience to work with Ming-Hsuan!
Research Interests
My research interests broadly include computer vision and AI-related topics, especially saliency detection, few-shot learning, autonomous driving, 3D imaging, and multimodal AI.
