Monthly update for April 2019

Our current topic is ‘Spring’. As always, there is a topic information sheet on the window of our main room that has details of the types of things your child will learn.

Our upcoming topic will be ‘Easter’ If you have anything that can help with this topic, please bring it in!

Here are the Word Aware words that we will be focusing on for each topic, so that you can also bring them into conversation at home:

Spring - ‘bulb’, ‘spring’ and ‘growing’.

Easter - ‘celebrate’ and ‘egg’.

Important dates for this month :-

Last day of term – Thursday 11th April.

INSET DAY (staff Safeguarding training) – Friday 12th April (we will be closed to children on this day).

Children return to Littlesteps – Monday 29th April.

Sue would like to thank the parents who came to the workshops in March. She looks forward to seeing parents and carers at the next workshops in May. The dates for these will be the 9th and 10th May.

We would like to make you aware that it is recommended for all pre-school children to have an eye test. This is now the responsibility of parents to book their child an eye test at an Opticians of their choice, as health visitors no longer provide a pre-school eye test service. All eye tests for children under 16 are free (covered by the NHS).
