Liz Dickinson BSc. Hons. Dr.Ac.
Liz Dickinson BSc Hons. (Dr. Acupunture, Registered Acupuncturist - CMAAC) is the owner and principle practitioner of Little River Holistic Therapies. She is a registered Acupuncturist, Advanced Reflexologist, Indian Head Massage Practitioner and Advanced Aromatherapy Massage Therapist. She has been in private practice for over ten years in the UK and now offers her treatments in the comfort of her professional clinic in Digby.  Liz has taken every possible measure to make sure that the clinic is a relaxing and inspiring place to be.  Please look at the Photo Gallery page to see what the clinic looks like.  Liz also offers by appointment home based treatments to patients in the comfort of their own home.

Holistic therapies have held an interest for Liz for many years. It is treating the “Whole” person that she believes helps to achieve the results many see from her treatments.  If Liz, or any of the practitioners within the clinic, feel that you are not benefiting from a specific therapy they will refer you to the appropriate therapist within the clinic or, if one is not available, they will refer you to an external therapist.  Your treatments will be regularly reviewed and you will not be asked to have more treatments than you feel you need.  Some patients arrive wanting massage, but really need acupuncture or counselling. Others want acupuncture but need massage, or even a combination of both.  In short everyone needs their own individual treatment plan and that is what we strive to achieve at Little River Holistic Therapies.

In 2009 Liz graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours in Chinese Medicine and was voted student of the year for her programme. She regularly takes online courses and keeps up to date with continued professional development. She is also a registered member of the Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine Association Of Nova Scotia and has been accepted by the major health insurers as a professional therapist providing care for their members.

Liz truly loves her job and she cares very much for her clients.  She does everything she can to help her clients and when time allows she works voluntarily to help patients she knows who have terminal illnesses.  Liz and everyone in the clinic have a really caring nature and an integrated approach to wellness.
