It's All Black and White Now

I am using the stunning artwork of Ismael Rac. To use his art you must purchase a license at MPT HERE. I am also using a great freebie kit by Melissa of Sentimental Style called Black and White Medley. You can pick it up HERE. Mask used is by WeeScotlass and you can get it HERE. Template is by me and is included in my supplies HERE.

Let's get creating! This is an easy tutorial!

Open my template in PSP. Expand the canvas if desired to give you more work space. We can resize later. Add a new raster layer and drag to the bottom of your layers palette. Floodfill it with white.

Click inside the circle part of the template and copy and paste a paper of choice from the kit over the selection. Selections-invert-hit delete on your keyboard. Delete the circle part of the template.

Do the same process again for the rectangle and diamond parts of the template. I left the black and white lines the way they are. Drop shadow all the pieces of the template. I used 3/3/55/6.

Resize the eyelet ribbon 85% and copy and paste as a new layer. Place it so it is"attached" to the black line. Duplicate it twice and move to where the other black lines meet the circle. Resize the bow 50% and copy and paste as a new layer. Place in on the top eyelet ribbon.

Copy and paste your tube as a new layer.

Resize the flowers to your preference and place a few on the lower left of the template. Mirror the black one and move to the lower right, and a few on the top left.

Resize the journal paper 40% and copy and paste as a new layer. Use your raster deform tool and rotate it a bit. I used a the page curl effect on it. Effects-image effects-page curl. (color-white, radius 50, width 40, height 60, and transparent ticked off,

Resize the frame 45% and copy and paste as a new layer. Tuck it behind the journal paper. Click inside with your magic wand. Selections-modify-exapand by 4. Copy and paste paper 3 over the selection. Selections-invert-hit delete on your keyboard. Bring the paper under the frame. Click in the frame again, expand and copy and paste a close up of your tube as a new layer, resize it as needed, invert and delete again. Bring the close up under the frame. Resize and copy and paste the paper clip as a new layer. Erase a portion of it so it looks like it is holding up the frame and journal paper. Write what you wish on the journal paper. I wrote "It's all black and white now. What we once had is" Just to stay with the black and white theme of the tag.

Activate your white background layer and add a new raster layer. Floodfill the new raster layer with black and appy WSL_Mask60. Merge group. Use your raster deform tool if needed to bring the mask out to the edges.

Crop and resize your tag. Add the copyright info, your watermark and your name. I used a font called ScriptoramaHostess.

Animation: (optional)

Copy your tag merged into animation shop and paste as a new animation.

Duplicate the tag so it has 7 frames, the same as the sparkle line provided in my supplies.

You are going to need to do some cropping of the sparkle line animation as you go along to fit in the small places. Activate the sparkle line. Edit-select all- Edit-Copy

Activate the tag. Edit-select all-Edit-paste into selected frame. Place the sparkles on the bottom and top of the black lines. Repeat as needed to cover the black lines.

Run your animation and save as a gif!

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial!

Hugs,

Dee
