Irish Blessings

I am using the lovely art work of Marjolein Gulinski. If you would like to use her art you must purchase a license at MPT HERE. I am also using a fantastic freebie scrapkit by the talented Bel Vidotti which is part of the Lucky Blogtrain. You can pick it up HERE. Mask used is by WeeScottLass and you can find that HERE.

Plug-in used : Xenofex 2 Constellation (optional)

Let's get started!

This tag can be for St. Patrick's Day or any day depending on your choice of elements.

Open a new blank image 600X600 and floodfill with white. Resize paper 4 from the kit 15% and copy and paste as a new layer. Apply WSL_mask60 to the paper layer. Layers-load/savemask-load mask from disk. Merge the group.

Copy and paste frame 5 as a new layer. Click inside it with your magic wand. Selections-Modify-Expand by 4. Copy and paste paper of choice from the kit over the selection. Selections-Invert- hit delete on your keyboard. Move the paper under your frame. Activate the frame and click inside again and expand by 4 like you did before. Copy and paste the tube as a new layer. Selections-Invert-hit delete on the keyboard. Move the tube under the frame. Resize the harp 75% and place it next to your tube. Rotate it a bit with the raster deform tool. See my tag for reference. Do not drop shadow the harp if you plan to animate it like mine.

Resize the irish leaves 60% and copy and paste as a new layer. Place under the frame and above the mask so they are showing some. When happy with the placement, duplicate and mirror them.

Resize flower 1 85% and copy and paste as a new layer. Place on the right side of the tag over the frame layer. Duplicate and mirror the flower. Now resize flower 5 60% and copy and paste as a new layer. Place it on the right side of the tag over flower 1. If desired rotate your flowers a bit with the raster deform tool. Resize the bow 40% and copy and paste it as a new layer. Place over the stem of the flowers on each side.

Resize the rainbow 75% and copy and paste it as a new layer over the paper layer. Reduce the opacity of the rainbow to 36. Erase any that is showing under the frame.

Rotate doodle 1 counter clockwise and copy and paste it as a new layer over the mask layer. Duplicate the doodle mirror it and flip. See my tag for reference. Add any other elements of choice.

Write out some word art if desired. I used part of an Irish blessing. Drop shadow all parts of the tag except for the rainbow, the harp and mask of course. Crop and resize your tag as desired. Add the copyright info, your watermark and your name. The font I used is called Rambler ScriptJF

Animation (optional)

Xenofex 2 Constellation for the harp string sparkle

Activate your harp layer. Take your freehand selection tool and draw around the inside section of the harp so the strings are inside the selection.

Apply Xenofex 2 Constellation with the following settings:

Select none. Copy your tag merged into animation shop and paste it as a new animation. Back to PSP undo select none and constellation and reapply it, changing the random seed. Select none and copy merged into animation shop and paste after the current frame. Do this process one more time changing the random seed again.

Run your animation and save as a gif!

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial!

Hugs,

Dee
