FANTASY FUDGE (it never fails)


1-1/2 sticks butter

3 cups sugar

2/3 cup evaporated milk

1-12 ounce package semi-sweet chocolate chips

1-7 ounce jar marshmallow crème

1 cup chopped pecans

1 teaspoon vanilla


Butter a 13 X 9 glass dish.

Mix butter, sugar and milk in a heavy 2-1/2 quart saucepan.  Bring to a full boil over medium heat.

Stir constantly to prevent scorching.

Boil for EXACTLY 5 minutes.  Set the timer.

Remove from heat and add chocolate chips. 

Stir until chips are completely melted.

Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

Pour into buttered dish

Cool. Cut into squares.
