The Little Lambs and the Very Special Mission by Rhonda Paglia

Illustrations by Rhonda Paglia and Taylor Galaska

This sweet, gentle, loving little story came to the author during her prayers for the children and teachers of Sandy Hook Elementary School.  She was compelled to write and draw what she saw and felt and it was then that "The Little Lambs and the Very Special Mission" was born.  This little story is dedicated to the children and teachers who lost their lives at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, on December 14, 2012.

All of the author's profits for this book go to the Newtown School District for the "Angels in Charge" Scholarship Award.  A graduating student or students who most exemplify the fallen teachers and who are planning a career in education will receive this award.

Story Synopsis:  At God's request, 20 little lambs and the 6 "Angels in Charge" perform a Very Special Mission that helps make the world a better place.

What others are saying:

The family of Charlotte Bacon, age 6, Sandy Hook, CT:  “We just received and had a chance to read your book dedicated to the little "lambs" who are so dear to our hearts. The message of the book is a great tribute both to the God we love as well as honoring our children.”

Crossing Paths Ministry, Hermitage, PA:  What a blessing to be able to share Rhonda Paglia's story on Crossing Paths.  She was an inspiration to us personally and will certainly be a further blessing to our T.V. viewing audience.  Her message of LOVE surely needs to be heard.  In His Service, Don and Joyce Reed Sr.  To view Rhonda’s testimony go to: http://www.crossingpaths.org/

Pennsylvania State Representative Mark Longietti, Hermitage, PA:  "God bless your efforts to help the families of Sandy Hook and our country as a whole.  The Little Lambs and the Very Special Mission could only have been written by a teacher with a strong Christian faith.  I trust that it will help with the healing process and that the proceeds for the scholarship fund will touch lives in a positive way.  I am proud to know you."

Rachel DiVanno, Newtown, CT High School senior, first recipient of the “Angels in Charge” Scholarship Award and Sunday School Teacher:  “I read your book to my Sunday school class of preschoolers who are called the “Lions and the Lambs.”  They loved your book!  The scholarship money will help make my journey into the classroom [as an elementary teacher] so much easier.”

Terri K., Carlisle, PA:  “. . . we received a copy of your book just in time for our Summer Ministry with over 500 children at the camps.  Your story was such a blessing to share. Thank you for sharing God’s heart with the children.”

Vickie P., Hubbard, OH: Thank you for writing this very special, amazing, faith filled book for the children of Sandy Hook and all victims of violence.  I know that God is with all who are hurting.”

About the Author / Illustrator
Rhonda Paglia
is a retired elementary school teacher from Hermitage, PA.  She has been married to her husband, Tony, for 40 years.  They have
five darling grandchildren and
a little dog named Bella.  Rhonda loves children, children’s stories, and enjoys reading and writing stories for her grandchildren.

Rhonda, who practiced emergency drills with her students and worked every day to keep them safe while in her care, was devastated by the horrible massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012, in Newtown, CT.  During her prayers for the children, families, and their community, she received an image of the 20 precious children as little lambs.  They were scooped up into God's hands and escorted to Heaven by the 6 "Angels in Charge," their heroic teachers.

The inspiration of the children, their teachers, and their lives, gave birth to The Little Lambs and the Very Special Mission.   Rhonda's hope and prayers are that the messages of love and kindness in this little story will lift up the world and inspire us all to become “the higher angels of ourselves.”

The Little Lambs and the Very Special Mission is Rhonda's first story for distribution to the public. All proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to the "Angels in Charge" scholarship award in honor of the heroic teachers and staff of Sandy Hook Elementary.    This award will go to a graduating high school senior or seniors from Newtown who plan to pursue a career in elementary education.
