There are various sporting opportunities in Little Dewchurch, with something for everyone.
There is a village darts team, contact the pub for more details
Clay Pigeon Shooting
There is a clay pigeon shooting club in the village. Dates and meets are posted on the noticedboard in the Plough
The only football currently played in the village is the New Years Day game, also known as the “Mud Bath”.
The turn out is always excellent, with around forty players and a handful of spectators braving the conditions. Considering the state of the pitch, and the players, a good standard of football is always played.
It seems a shame that we do not have the summer equivalent with maybe a barbeque.
Indoor Bowls
We are a small and friendly Club, playing indoor Short Mat Bowls. This is a game for young and old. In the winter we play in the County league, this involves playing against other clubs in the league, which causes some friendly rivalry. Our Club meets on a Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome, young people sixteen and under must be accompanied by an adult (Police safety regulations).  Contact Sheila Lane – 01981 550648
There is a pool table at the Plough.
