LEAP, formed in 1984, is one of the first library literacy programs in the state of California.  As
a free program, sponsored by the Richmond Public Library, LEAP depends on a small dedicated staff and many hard-working volunteers to meet the needs of the residents.  LEAP is a program committed to developing literacy for the multitude of uses in daily life.  At LEAP, we offer tutoring and small group instruction to insure that all adults can be self-sufficient and critical consumers of ideas and information.
