Group: News media - Our focus is on analyzing feature articles. Results: Discussed the shutdown. Last week, we decided to write our federal congressmen. The government reopened during the past week. Based on 8 (for), 7 (against), and 1 (abstained), we determined that we would pursue the letter writing. First, we need to gather information about what the issues were and where our legislators stand on these issues. We also need to learn how to judge the quality of the resources we use. Step 1: Deb put up paper on walls with labels for 2 senators, 4 representatives, and Obama.
