Mon 9/14 - Sentence Work: Jane Austen's name was not on her books during her life time. The author's name on her first book was A Lady. Read more about Jane Austen and her life.
Tue 9/15 - Story problem: Eighteen people are going on a field trip. How many 5-seater cars will be needed for this trip? What percentage of the last car will not be full?
Mind-Body Connection: Find out the connection between Memory and Sleep.
Wed 9/16 - Media: Today we are reading about examining the content and privacy issues related to Facebook. How safe are you? (We are finally having this discussion today.)
Thu 9/17 - Sentence Work: Literary apostrophes let a person talk to someone or something that is inanimate or not actually in front of the speaker. This technique is often used in poetry.
Sentence Work: Maxims are expressions or sayings that many of us live by. For example, one man's trash is another man's treasures. Read more. What are your favorites?
Electronics: Direction writing is hard for us. We are working again at writing directions for designing a series circuit. We hope to finish a set of directions today. We will also look at how to add photos to our directions.
Supreme Court landmark cases: Today, we'll present dates in more recent U.S. history.
Fri 9/18 - Employment: We are still working on soft skills in the workplace. We have taken a short side trip to an article about communication. The conversations about these topics, by the way, have been phenomenal.
