Our study of the politics behind Roosevelt's push for minimum wage and how we finally got a federal minimum wage law continues as we read more of Fair Labor Standard Act of 1938. Results: We read and talked about 2 more paragraphs.

Group: Food Science: Salt -- We will check on our cheese experiment and then look at more intriguing information about the element salt. Read p. 95-96 "How Salt Affects Taste" from Herve This' book Molecular Gastonomy: Exploring the Science of Flavor. Results: We learned that cheese wrapped in damp cheesecloth had the most mold. Cheese wrapped in damp, salty cheesecloth had some mold. Cheese without any cheesecloth had only one spot of mold. The cheese with no mold during the same time frame was the cheese wrapped in dry cheesecloth.
