Here are a few of the ideas we will learn about this week:
Monday - Here are the 8 bones in the cranium: frontal bone, two parietal bones, two temporal bones, occipital bone, ethmoid bone, and sphenoid bone. Read about the purpose of each bone. Which bone is most important to a cosmetologist? Which one is most important to a CNA? Which one is most important to you? Write 3 sentences explaining your reasons. Click here to see the location of these bones in your head.
Tuesday - How much do you know about your hair and its porosity? Here's information about how you know the porosity of your hair.
Learn how to storyboard - use your notes about your planet to create Powerpoint slides for your group presentation. For one format for developing your storyboard, check out this storyboard.
This week we are typing answers and pasting sources into the attached word file below - blank answers to questions.Jun16.
+- Math group listed these subtraction rules last week. Today, we will see if they work.
Check out the information about our body-mind connection. What questions would you ask about this reading?
Wednesday - The Four Agreements was about attention (p. 3) last week. Ruiz suggests that we are aware of multitudes of stimuli happening around us at any given time. However, attention is the defining factor that makes us actually focus and - through repetition - learn. We'll talk about how we've learned what we know. For example, how to you eat soup? Bowl under your chin? Spoon dipped into the soup and dragged towards you are away from you? This week we'll start on page 4 and examine the impact of our first language and how we developed our belief system.
Thursday - Today in the planet unit, we will continue finding and documenting answers - using the following skills: typing, copying, and saving. Next week we will look at how to create a storyboard that pulls together the planet data we will be presenting. Groups will use the example to begin their own story boarding.
Friday - Read chapter 7 of 20,000 Leagues under the Sea. Where do they go on the hunting trip? What are they hunting?
