Note: Vocabulary Group members are presenting their projects this morning.
"Number sense" is about understanding numbers and their relationships. When you have good "number sense," you can manipulate numbers to do mental calculations, make estimations, identify place values, understand part-whole relationships, and solve many types of story problems.
So, use your age as today's number. Tell me at least 6 ways the number (your age) appears in our world. (Example: If the number were 12, then you could say a dozen muffins, noon, 12 degrees, 14 minus 2, midnight, and 1 dime & 2 pennies.)
