Research Interests

Generally, I am interested in the sensory mechanisms used by animals, specifically lizards, to attain information about their surroundings.

I am currently conducting research to investigate the role of hearing in lizards and how it influences behavioral decisions during predator-prey interactions. My investigations will address whether lizards are able to locate the direction from which predatory cues are emitted;; if lizards use both auditory and visual cues to obtain information to more accurately assess predation risk; and if lizards use auditory distance cues to assess proximity of an avian predator due to the intensity of the acoustic stimulus.
