Lisa M. V. Gulick


I work as a human capital and leadership consultant with Deloitte-Australia in Brisbane, Queensland. I specialize in developing leaders to work effectively in complex global environments both domestically and internationally. I have experience in training design and evaluation, competency modeling, job analysis, career development, organizational cultural assessment, change management, and quantitative and qualitative data analysis.  

Prior to Deloitte, I worked as an Associate with Booz Allen Hamilton, a consortium research fellow with the Army Research Instituteand as a research specialist at AARP. I have also spent time teaching in the George Mason University School of Management

I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA.  I hold a Ph.D. in Industrial Organizational Psychology from George Mason University. My dissertation focused on creating a model of international experiences that facilitates individual development when working in cross-cultural contexts.

My academic work has focused on designing strategies for accelerating leadership development, increasing individual and leader adaptability, improving diversity management practices in organizations, and enhancing cross-cultural selection and training. I work primarily with my adviser Dr. Eden King and Dr. Stephen Zaccaro on research topics related to leadership, diversity, teams, and culture.
