Destinos: An Introduction To Spanish - A great resource for intermediate learners.  52 half hour episodes follow Raquel around the Spanish speaking world.  Destinos introduces viewers to different Spanish accents and cultures.  Highly recommended.

FSI Spanish - The same course used by the U.S. government to train diplomats.  This course is now available in digital format thanks to a community effort.  After following the link, scroll down to the Spanish Programmatic Course.

Linguasnet - Audio based lessons designed to improve listening and speaking skills.

Mango Spanish - A new website that offers Spanish lessons.  103 lessons are currently available.  Each lessons has accompanying audio.  This is a great resource.  Free registration is required.

Spanish Grammar Tutorial - Tutorials for over one hundred grammar topics.  The explanations are helpful and easy to understand.  Highly recommended.

Spanish Tutorial - A nice and easy to follow Spanish tutorial.

Speak 7 - Free online Spanish lessons.  Includes grammar, vocabulary, and expressions.

BBC Mundo - Up to date news from the BBC in Spanish.

Children's Library - Currently offers 122 children's books in Spanish that can be read online.

Deutsche Welle - Up to date news from Deutsch Welle.

Elaleph - Offers a large collection of e-books in PDF format.  Free registration required.

El Financiero - An online newspaper from Mexico.

El País - News from Spain.

El Periódico - An excellent news site from Barcelona, Spain.

Google News - One of the best online resources for news in Spanish.

Leer Escuchando - Offers free audio books as well as short stories in mp3 format.

Lenguas del Mundo - If you love reading about different languages then this site is for you.  It has information about languages from all around the world.  Best of all, it's in Spanish.

Logos Children's Library - Thirty three pages of children's stories, many have an accompanying audio file.  This is a wonderful way to improve your listening and reading skills.

Muy Interesante - Like the name says, very interesting articles on topics such as science, history, health and technology.

National Geographic En Español - Various scientific and travel related articles.

People En Español - If you enjoy People magazine, you'll enjoy practicing your Spanish while reading the online articles at People En Español.

Project Gutenberg - Several online books freely available.

Spanish Bible - The entire Bible available in Spanish.

The Little Prince - Available in Spanish.

Univision Noticias - Interesting news articles from Univision.

Voice of America - Interesting reading practice from Voice of America.

Wikipedia - Wikipedia in Spanish.  If online news isn't interesting enough for you, you can search for whatever you like on Wikipedia.


Things To Listen To

Anderson Stories - Several stories from Hans Christian Andersen, most have accompanying audio. 

BBC Audio - Several programs, many updated daily.  A great resource to practice Spanish.  Even if you don't have much time you can always listen to a short program.

Cervantes TV - A great place to learn about the Spanish language and culture.  They offer lots of video covering many subjects.

China Radio International - Lots of audio is available from China.  An interesting resource from a different perspective.

Euro News - Current news articles that are accompanied by video.  A great way to practice reading while listening.

Global Recordings Network (Spain Spanish) - Provides several free Christian audio recordings.  A great resource.  They also offer Latin American Spanish.

Notes In Spanish - Offers lots of free audio.  A great way to practice and learn the language and culture at the same time.  They offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.

Radio France International - Offers lots of audio and news.

Radio Japan - Daily news from Japan in Spanish.  An interesting way to practice your Spanish. 

Radio Naciones Unidas - Audio accompanied by text that is updated daily from the United Nations.  Interesting stories from around the world.

SBS Radio - Offers short audio files covering various subjects.

Sermon Audio - Free sermons available in mp3 format.

Spanish Internet Radio - A large list of online radio stations that broadcast in Spanish. 

Spanish New Testament - Available in MP3 format.  This version is recorded in an older Spanish, but it's still useful.

Spanish Proficiency Exercises - Short videos with transcripts in Spanish and English.  The Spanish speakers are from all over the world.  This is a great resource with levels from beginning to superior.

Diccionarios.com - A great online Spanish to Spanish dictionary.  Most definitions provide an audio sample so you can hear the word pronounced.  Highly recommended.

Digital Dialects - This website offers basic vocabulary and games to help you practice.

Garfield Comics - A daily Garfield comic in Spanish.

Linguanaut - A useful collection of basic phrases.

Spanish Vocabulary Guide - This is a great vocabulary guide.  Simply move your cursor over the word or picture to instantly hear it pronounced.

The Spanish Language - Information from Wikipedia about the Spanish language.  Or try reading about the Spanish language in Spanish for even more practice.

Verbix - The best online verb conjugator I have found.  Just type in a verb and Verbix will completely conjugate it for you.
