French Tutorial - A simple and easy to follow French tutorial.
FSI French - The same course used by the U.S. government to train diplomats. This course is now available in digital format thanks to a community effort.
Learn French By Podcast - A great podcast. The audio is free, but payment is required for lesson guides. The audio by itself is still a great resource. Recommended.
Liberte - A first year French textbook. This is a complete text book available in pdf format. Includes cultural notes and drills. File size is 11 megs.
Mango French - A new website that offers French lessons. 100 lessons are currently available. Each lessons has accompanying audio. This is a great resource. Free registration is required.
Speak 7 - Free online French lessons. Includes grammar, vocabulary, and expressions.

Logos Children's Library - Several pages of children's stories, many have an accompanying audio file. This is a wonderful way to improve your listening and reading skills.

Wikipédia - Wikipedia in French. If online news isn't interesting enough for you, you can search for whatever you like on Wikipedia.

BBC Audio - Several programs, many updated daily. A great resource to practice French. Even if you don't have much time you can always listen to a short program.
China Radio International - Lots of audio is available from China. An interesting resource from a different perspective.
Euro News - Current news articles that are accompanied by video. A great way to practice reading while listening. Highly recommended!
French Bible - The entire Bible in mp3 format.
French Internet Radio - A large list of online radio stations that broadcast in French.
Global Recordings Network - Provides several free Christian audio recordings. A great resource.
Le Journal En Français Facile - A great daily news resource presented in a simplified form of French. Listen to the ten minute programs daily to greatly improve your French.
Radio Des Nations Unies - Audio accompanied by text that is updated daily from the United Nations. Interesting stories from around the world.
Radio Japan - Daily news from Japan in French. An interesting way to practice your French.
