Class assembly

Celebration (PM)

At Lindow we really value our assemblies as a time to come together as a whole school to think about our values; to consider and have empathy with the world around us; to gain a sense of our local and global community or to hear important messages from the wider curriculum.

Religious days and celebrations across a range of faiths are shared, as well as regular visits by of our local C of E church. Our dedicated Wellbeing Wednesday assemblies focus on developing healthy minds and bodies.

We end every week with our Friday afternoon celebration assembly to highlight good work, achievements from out of school and our core values of Learning, Caring and Achieving.

At Lindow, we pride ourselves on our close links with our local community and frequently invite local businesses and charities to talk to the children. We also use our assemblies to communicate vital messages about personal safety, e.g. NSPCC, Road Safety, E-Safety, anti-bullying etc.

British Values and global issues are also explored and then followed up in class to ensure that key messages are understood and that children have the opportunity to explore social justice for children in this country and around the world.
