Assessment and testing

Life after Levels
Copies of the presentations delivered at our Parents' Evening can be found by following the links at the bottom of this page.

SATs
Children in Year 2 and Year 6 take formal tests called Statutory Assessment Tests (SATs) during May in English and Maths. These are essential tests that inform us how your child is progressing through the National Curriculum. For a brief explantion of SATs grades please click here.

Teacher assessments in English, Maths and Science are also carried out as to which level the teacher judges the child to have reached.

Our SATs performance details can be found on the Department for Education website here.

Optional SATs
Children in Years 3, 4 and 5 take optional SATs each year, also during May. These help us track the children's progress throughout Key Stage 2.

Achievement on Entry Profiles
The Reception teacher keeps a running record (or profile) of an individual child's progress through the Foundation Stage Curriculum.
