Assessment & Data

Assessment is a key component of ensuring our children receive the very best education they can. Formative, ongoing assessment is a crucial part of every session, every day.

Summative Assessments & Published Data
In May each year, children in Year 2 and Year 6 undertake a mixture of teacher assessment and written tests in reading, writing, and maths.
Our school's performance details can be found on the Department for Education website here.

*Schools are not required to publish their exam and assessment results from 2019 to 2020 academic year as these have not been published as performance measures by the Secretary of State. 2018 to 2019 performance measures will continue to be displayed until new performance measures are published.

A summary of our Key Stage 2 results can be seen here
Children in Year 1 sit the statutory phonics screening test in June
Teacher assessments in Reading, Writing, Maths and Science are also carried out regularly to inform attainment and progress measures for every child in our school.

Early Years Foundation Stage Profiles
The Reception teacher keeps a running record (or profile) of an individual child's progress through the Foundation Stage Curriculum.

All records kept on a child in the school are available for parents to see.
