Year 6 - Mrs Lomas / Miss Oakes

Dear Parents/Carers,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Class Oak.

This year the children will be taught by: Miss Oakes and Mrs Lomas. We will supported by Mrs Porteous and Miss Phillips.

The children have made a really positive start to the term and are already busy completing their Year 6 duties around school, looking after their buddies and trying their hardest in class.

The term is already looking full of exciting events. We have a trip to Safety Central next week and shortly after, we will be returning to PGL for our Year 6 residential on October 16th ; if you have any questions regarding PGL, please do not hesitate to contact us.

During this term, our topic is 'New York, New York - The Concrete Journal' where the children will be finding out about the Geography of New York City and considering the culture, heritage and history of this American city. They will have the opportunity to consider foods that New York is famous for and design and make their own bagels as well as consider the work of Andy Warhol and create work inspired by him.
