Our classes

Our pupils are taught in 7 classes from Reception to Year 6. Each class has a Class Teacher and a dedicated Teaching Assistant.

Our PAN (Pupil Admission Number) is 30 children in each year group.

For information on this term's activities in each class, please click on the appropriate link in the left hand column.

Hearing Impaired Resource Base
We have a purpose built unit for hearing impaired children with places for 12 pupils. Our policy is to integrate these pupils into our regular classes so the children are first and foremost members of a mainstream class. For details please visit Hearing Impaired page.

Educational Visits

Each class enjoys a number of day or half-day visits to places of interest related to the particular area of study the class is undertaking. In October, every Year 6 child visits Boreatton Park, which is a PGL outdoor and adventure centre in Shropshire while Year 4 visits the Robinwood Centre in the Spring term.

Annual visits to the theatre are arranged for pupils in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and theatre and performance groups visit our school to enrich our children's learning.
We have an Educational Visits co-ordinator who ensures that all staff are aware of current legislation and that risk assessments are completed for each visit.

In 2014, we installed new interactive screens in all classrooms, please follow this link and view the video of our installation and the visit of George Osborne MP, then Chancellor of the Exchequer to "open" the facilities.
