Special Education Needs

Children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
We are very proud of our excellent reputation for helping pupils with SEN. Children with SEN may have learning difficulties or be exceptionally able. They may have physical, medical, emotional, social or behavioural problems.

Each term, the co-ordinator for SEN (SENCO), in consultation with each class teacher, compiles a list of children who are experiencing general or specific difficulties. If appropriate a Cheshire East Borough Learning Support teacher or an Educational Psychologist will become involved in the diagnosis and individual plans to help the child.

The needs of the children are reviewed each term and modifications are made to individual plans, where necessary, to enable them to access the same curriculum as the rest of the children in school. Parents are fully informed and involved in any decisions and in all aspects of the process. Our Local Offer for SEN children can be found here.
