Cross Country running
A fantastic result for our school at the Wilmslow inter-schools cross country at the Carrs in May. We won all four trophies for small schools, Year 3/4 Boys and Girls and Year 5/6 Boys and Girls, a great team effort. We also had the individual winner in each race and in the Year 3/4 Girls we had the first three home, beating all the large school competitors too! See the slideshow below for pictures of our teams' great endeavour!
In December, we held our inter-house cross country for the "Harrison Cup". Almost every child takes part and Styal House was victorious! A slideshow of pictures from the event can be seen below.
Sports Day is planned for a Wednesday afternoon in May. If it rains we will try again on subsequent Wednesdays until the weather relents. A final decision will be taken by 11am on the day!
After School Sports
Football, run by the WFA, is on Thursday afternoons 3.15 - 4pm, all ages accepted but subject to a small charge.
Netball for Year 5 / 6, also on Thursday afternoons 3.15 - 4pm.
Year 5 / 6 enjoyed an indoor athletics meeting at Wilmslow High School in January competing against 6 other local primary schools. Every member of the Class took part and thoroughly enjoyed the competetion.
We have a keen and active Table tennis club led by Mr Morgan a former 'star player'. In February we competed against Alderley Edge Primary School for the "Wilmslow Ashes" and like our cricket counterparts were successful!
