Linda completed the University of California Extension program in book publishing. She worked as the editor at the Harvard Common Press, in Boston, and, for nearly three decades, as a freelance editor, designer, and publishing project manager specializing in cookbooks.
The many authors she has worked with include Hiroko Shimbo (The Japanese Kitchen, The Sushi Experience) and Teresa Barrenechea (The Basque Table.)
Because she loved working with food from garden to table, Linda earned certification as both a Master Gardener and a Master Food Preserver. Her professional specialty became writing about the fruits and vegetables that she grows, cooks, and preserves. She also teaches classes in cooking and food preservation.
