Research & Service

About me

My research has delved into simulating hyperbolic partial differential equations (PDEs) within general relativity (GR) and astrophysics. Playing the role enhanced by the service in the computing center, I leverage different computing paradigms, advanced numerical techniques, and modern computing infrastructure to support fundamental research, bridging the capability of the computational domain and the demand of physical science.

Since 2015, I have participated in WLCG, operating a CMS Tier-2 site with support from Taiwan's CMS group. In running the worldwide grid service with CERN, I learned the best-of-practice techniques and tools for distributed computing and general data-intensive science. I joined KAGRA in 2017 and touched on more practical issues in GW detection, like parameter estimation, denoising, and time-series data processing via statistical tools and machine learning. After 2021, I have been partly involved in the operation of the HPC facility and revisiting quantum computing issues recently, primarily from the perspective of a classical computing center.
