Conditions on Sunday were less than ideal for racing - cool temps with winds blowing out of the WNW 18-22, gusting to 28 - but John Curry appeared to be having a blast windsurfing.  After a one hour postponement to see if the winds would moderate, Dale Benham and Will Thomas decided to test their mettle, and the equipment on their Sunfishes, and headed out to the course.  Maryann Brock and I set a triangle course with some long reaches for them to enjoy.  They were indeed enjoying a very long reach on the second leg, when we noticed the leeward mark anchor wasn't holding, heading downwind towards the dam.   Will and Dale finished what had become a longer than expected course, in that order, and decided once was enough. Congratulations to both of them!  Race results are attached.  Meanwhile, on the shore, a lot of mowing got done and some boat tinkering, so the day was very productive.

Next weekend is Memorial Day weekend, with a potluck planned for Sunday after the races.  Hope to see you there...think sailing!
